The new AKCP sensorProbe2 comes with a new CPU that is 3 times higher speed compared to the earlier version of AKCP sensorProbe2A, faster network connection, new web interface similar to sensorProbe8 series of products including the subnet mask, remote syslog interface. It also includes a battery backed time of day clock. The new AKCP sensorProbe2 also has advance events filtering options. Now you can plug in our motion detector to the new AKCP sensorProbe2.
The important feature in new AKCP sensorProbe2 is, the integration with a single chip relative humidity and temperature multi sensor module comprising a calibrated digital output. The sensor includes a capacitive polymer sensing element for relative humidity and a bandgap temperature sensor. Both are seamlessly coupled to a 14bit analog to digital converter and a serial interface circuit on the same chip. This results in superior signal quality, a fast response time and insensitivity to external disturbances (EMC). By having both temperature & humidity sensors in a single sensor, the AKCP sensorProbe2 can have up to a maximum of 2 temperature & 2 humidity sensors. This extends the capability of the AKCP sensorProbe2 to maximum of 4 sensing parameters.
Combined sensor temperature and humidity of AKCP
The dual sensor has both temperature and humidity measuring capabilities in a single sensor. This extends the capability of the sensorProbe to measure up to 8 temperature and 8 humidity sensing parameters, just by connecting 8 dual sensors.
When the dual sensor is plugged into the RJ-45 port, the sensorProbe will auto detect the sensor, and it will display Temperature & Humidity for each RJ-45 port. A built in graph option is included on all sensorProbes for graphing temperature and humidity variations over a period of time.
Each sensor has its own SNMP OID so that data can be collected over the network and graphed using external application like MRTG.
AKCP Sensor controlled relay / Sensor Controlled Relay (AK-PRB00-220)
The Sensor Controlled Relay can control the electrical power to devices managed over the Internet. With easy configuration and integration with the sensorProbe product series. The Sensor Controlled Relay defines a new era in energy management.
The Sensor Controlled Relay is easily controlled by any of AKCP's extensive selection of sensors. The relay can provide automatic responses to sensor alerts. This is useful, for example, to switch on the fan when the room temperature rises beyond the threshold level or to turn on a light when the motion detector is triggered. Setting up the Sensor Controlled Relay is easy with its built in autosense feature and user friendly web interface.
The Sensor Controlled Relay can also be controlled via external computers using the included snmp command line utilities either interactively or programmatically. In addition the Sensor Controlled Relay can be controlled via the integrated we interface on the sensorProbe.
The Sensor Controlled Relay provides 1 high-power SPDT 5V relay with the maximum load up to 15A at 220 VAC. It includes Metal Oxide Varistors (MOVs) and Snubber circuits to protect the open contacts of the relays from the high voltage spikes or noise transients. It monitors the power & load and accepts a control signal which is sent from the sensorProbe.
A simple, point and click web manager can set link the Sensor Controlled Relay to a sensor. When the sensor goes to the chosen state, for example, High Critical, the Relay can be made to Cycle, which will turn on and then turn off the external device for the selected period of time. In this case, when the sensor goes High Critical, the automatic response system will Cycle the relay for 20 seconds. Users can easily change the fields in the Relay Settings Menu according to their needs using the dropdown list boxes.
The Sensor Controlled Relay with the automatic response feature can give the users more flexibility in responding to the environmental alerts. Automatic response eliminates the need for the user intervention during the alarm condition.
The Sensor Controlled Relay has built in 16Amp circuit breaker and 15Amp fuse (380 VAC, 125 VDC) to give the double protection for the external devices from possible damages by electrical fault. Status of The Sensor Controlled Relay is reported by 4 LEDs on the board. Remote monitoring of the status is available using SNMP traps, web interface, e-mail and SMS.

We also do not recommend you trying to connect any of our AKCP sensors including the temperature and dual temp humidity sensors though patch panels or using the RJ-45 couplers to extend them.
