Temperature and humidity monitoring of 24V and 48V environments
The Monitoring System 100 III DC has been specially developed for around-the-clock remote monitoring of 24 - 48V DC environments. It works without dependencies on additional software and hardware. For operation, an installation of software applications on server, PC, laptop, tablet or smartphone is not required. Access is easy via web browser. A built-in setup wizard guides you through all important system settings.
A 2 meter long RJ12 patch cable and mounting hardware (double-sided mounting tape, screws) are included with this SNMP capable dual sensor. If desired, you can set this temp humidity sensor up to 205 meters (672 ft) away from the main sensor controller unit. The measuring range of the temperature sensor is in the range of -40 ° C to + 120 ° C (14 ° F to 248 ° F). In the range of -10 ° C to + 85 ° C (14 ° F to 185 ° F)., the measuring accuracy is ± 0.4 ° C (± 39.2 ° F). The humidity sensor integrated in this dual sensor offers a measuring range of 0% to 100% relative humidity (non-condensing). In the range between 0% and 80% relative humidity (RH) the measuring accuracy of this humidity sensor is ± 3%.
If needed, the sensors can also be calibrated directly in the web enabled remote monitoring system. Please note the instructions in Didactum`s wiki.
Data logger functions including measured data export for trend analyzes
The sensor data is stored in the built-in datalogger of this combined monitoruing system. On request, the storage capacity of the measurement data memory can be expanded with a USB data stick. The humidity and temperature data can be graphically displayed directly in the multilingual web interface. See current temperature and humidity trends in your monitored infrastructure. For the purpose of creating trend analyzes, reports and test reports, the measurement data can be loaded directly from the IP based monitoring system.
Stand-alone temperature and humidity monitoring or SNMP integration
The combined temperature and humidity sensor can be individually configured in the web interface of the Monitoring System 100 III DC. Enter freely selectable thresholds and limits for temperature and humidity. Then you determine how you will be notified and alerted if the permissible temperature and / or humidity is undershot or exceeded. In the event of overheating, heat, static discharge or air condensation, this IP driven remote alarm system will provide you with notifications and alerts. Get individual E-mail notifications (up to 10 different e-mail recipients). The built-in GSM modem sends customizable SMS messages directly to mobile devices and smartphones.
The siren with flash function included with this IP Monitoring System will alert the on-site staff. All events and actions are recorded in the SYSLOG including time and date. As the IP Thermo-Hygrometer supports the SNMP protocols v1 / v2c / v3, you can integrate it to measurement data software (Cacti, RRDtool), building and network management systems (Nagios, OpenNMS, Solarwinds, WhatsUp Gold, Zabbix). The required didactum.mib can be loaded directly from the multilingual web interface.
The dual sensor temperature and humidity is equipped with SNMP OIDs. The temp & humidity data measured in real time can be queried directly via SNMP command. Also, the current dew point is displayed directly in the web interface of the IP Monitoring system.
Additional sensors for the IP Monitoring System
The modular architecture supports flexible expansion of the combined IP based thermometer / hygrometer with other environmental sensors. Connect additional temperature and humidity sensors via Plug and Play or select fire or water detection sensors from the extensive range of IP driven sensors. IP-capable motion detectors, magnetic switches, airflow and voltage sensors are also available in this online shop for web-enabled remote measurement and monitoring technology. A USB video camera, which can be supplied on request for the thermo / hygrometer, provides you with up-to-date video images from the monitored infrastructure directly to your mobile phone or smartphone.
Expansion of your IP Monitoring System
The main unit is equipped with a CAN connection. Upon request, the user can connect additional boxes for intelligent sensors or extension units for the TCP / IP network integration of digital / dry contacts. Thus, this thermo / hygrometer can be expanded to a full-fledged infrastructure monitoring solution. Optionally, a mounting bracket for mounting in 19-inch server cabinet and also a holder for DIN rail is available.

Match the bus terminators of the CAN units. Switch terminator TR in ON position on the monitoring unit and on the last CAN unit, TR on intermediate CAN units are in Off (1,2) position. Maximum 8 CAN units, sensors and/or devices can be on one CAN bus.

Click Config button and wait. The system will poll the bus CAN and give rows with data, if successful will write: Done!. CAN modules and sensors will appear in the list. Click Apply and then click Restart.
Go to --> System Map / Floor Map, click Refresh button, or wait, new devices and new sensors will appear in the tree. Green LED will light up when CAN sensor is connected and successfully determined by the system.
Connection is not successful if after clicking Config, the poll is reset before the phrase "Updating". Check whether terminators on the bus line are set in the right position, change their position using TR switch if needed.
