This precise 1-wire sensor temperature is used to measure the important environmental factor temperature. The permissible range of application of the digital 1-wire temperature sensor is minus 10 degrees up to plus 85 degrees Celsius (14° to 185° F). The measuring accuracy is +/- 0.5 ° C.

Auto-identification of the 1-wire sensor
The 1-wire temperature sensor is simply connected to the 1-wire / RJ9 port of an SNMP-enabled remote measurement and monitoring system from Didactum. The high-end monitoring systems of the 500 / 500DC / 600/700 are already equipped with a 1-wire / RJ9 port. For the IT monitoring devices of the series 50 and 100 III , the optional available 1-Wire module is required. Simply connect the 1-wire temperature sensor with the 2 meter sensor cable, which is included in the scope of delivery. After that, simply plug the cable into the 1-wire / RJ9 port of the networked remote monitoring system. The temperature sensor is then detected automatically and displayed in the multilingual web interface of the remote measuring and monitoring system.
Connect up to 20 temperature sensors in series
Up to 20 of these 1-wire temperature sensors can be connected in series. The maximum cable length can be up to 100 meters (328 ft). Here, even larger rooms / halls can be precisely monitored for temperature.
Temperature recording in data logger including export functions
The temperature measurement is started automatically. The measured data is stored in the built-in data logger of the IP-based remote monitoring system. Directly in the web interface, the recorded temperature values can be even graphically displayed. Exporting the temperature recordings in the form of the widely used XML or CSV data format is supported by networked monitoring devices. With Microsoft Excel the temperature data can be further edited.
On request, the temperature values can also be forwarded as an RSS feed.
Offset function for post-calibration of the 1-wire temp sensor
If desired, each 1-Wire temperature sensor can be calibrated in the WebGUI of the SNMP enabled monitoring system. After many years of temperature monitoring, possible temperature deviations can be corrected easily.
Non-stop temperature monitoring including notifications and Email alerts
In the multilingual webGUI of all IP-based data logging and monitoring systems, each 1-Wire can be individually set up. For example, assign an individual name to each connected sensor. Each of the IP-capable 1-Wire sensors can be configured individually or as a group. Define individual limits and alarm values for temperature monitoring. In the case critical temperature, each of the Ethernet-based Didactum alarm systems can send e-mail alerts or send SMS alarms directly to the mobile phone or smartphone (GSM modem or e-mail to SMS gateway required). In addition to e-mail and SMS notification, the networked temperature monitoring systems also offer actuator functions, such as the automatic switching of connected devices such as ventilation or air-conditioning systems in case of critical temperature.
The integrated logic of the monitoring technology supports a variety of rules and automatic actions.
Integration of temperature monitoring in measurement data analysis software or SNMP tools
Each of 1-wire sensors is equipped with an SNMP OID. MIB files as well as Nagios plugins are included. Critical temperature is reported with the support of SNMP Traps or SNMP get functions. Didactums remote monitoring units support leading NMS such as Nagios, HP Openview, IBM Tivoli, OpenNMS, PRTG, WhatsUp Gold, and Zabbix. Ideal for IP-based round-the-clock monitoring of important physical environmental factors in remote locations and branch offices.

This 1-Wire sensor is not suitable for use in environments with strong electromagnetic interference (data center, server room, power supply). Here, please use Didactum`s temperature sensor.
