- Short description: Combined infrared microwave motion detector
Mission critical rooms and equipment must be effectively protected against intrusion and unauthorized access. Important infrastructure include data center, server room, research & development, production and logistics. Outside normal working hours, especially on weekends and public holidays, presence and movement in these sensible spaces must be reliably detected and reported to the security personnel. Particularly at risk are the server room and data center.
Data theft and unauthorized access to the corporate knowledge is not always done by external hackers. Targeted burglaries in the server room or data theft by "deserving employees" are more common than you think! For image reasons, no information is coming to public eye. With Didactum`s innovative safety technology you can reliable monitor your mission-critical infrastructure around-the-clock.
Reliable motion detection with 360 degree detection range
The combined PIR/microwave motion detector has been specifically designed for the reliable detection of presence and movement in mission critical infrastructure. This PIR/microwave ceiling detector fulfills the VdS Class C and EN 50131-2-4 standards. The integrated passive infrared detection unit of this modern motion detector was combined with a precise microwave detector. The built-in microcontroller offers optimum motion detection coupled with excellent immunity to false alarms. The electromagnetic load with switched / pulsed microwave is extremely low @0,03mW. An impairment of WLAN is not given.
Installation of the PIR-/microwave- motion detector
This PIR/microwave detector is installed under the ceiling of the monitored infrastructure. The ceiling height can be up to 5 meters (16 ft). The integrated mirror this innovative ceiling detector allow detection of infrared heat and movement in a
360 degree detection range with a diameter of up to 20 meters. If desired, the sensitivity of this Infrared Micowave motion detector can be finely adjusted via DIP switch. This dual motion detector is connected with the dry contact inputs of the network-enabled Didactum IP alarm system. In it`s multi-lingual web interface you can then configure this SNMP-enabled infrared microwave motion detector individually.
Notifications and alerts in case of unauthorized access / intrusion
Each of Didactum`s innovative remote monitoring systems offers a variety of notification and alerts such as alarm via email, alert via SMS (via GSM modem) or automatic switching of flashing lights or sirens. At the same time, alarms are sent to building control and network managment systems in the form of SNMP traps (Simple Network Management Protocol).
Here Didactum`s networked monitoring units support leading NMS such as Nagios, OpenNMS, PRTG, Zabbix and many more. Automatic actions such as switching the relays and I / O contacts are also supported by Didactum`s IP surveillance technology. Integrated trigger functions as well as time and date filters of Didactum`s networked alarm systems support a field-proven Escalation management.
Highly interesting is the built-in alarm card function. With the support of integrated maps, the source of the alarm can be instantly displayed on a alert map and the security personnel can act more targeted. If you have connected a USB surveillance camera on your Didactum IP Alarm System, the live images of the event will be sent directly via email or SMS.
