The vibration detector was developed specifically for the Didactum high-end monitoring systems and is used to detect shocks and vibrations. Shaking and drilling on surfaces are recognized by this vibration detector and reported immediately to the network enabled Didactum monitoring system.
Quick installation of the IP-based vibration sensor
Via the patch cable included, the vibration alarm sensor is connected to the Didactum monitoring system and will be automatically detected by the units built-in autoidentification feature.
From within the multilingual web interface of Didactum´s main monitoring unit you can then set your desired alerts. All the required accessories for mounting and connecting the vibration sensor are included with every sensor. If your project requires more than one vibration sensor you can use patch cable to daisy chain, or cascade more sensors using the same port on your Didactum main monitoring unit. This is ideal for securing larger premises and equipment.
Typical applications include the vibration detector:
- Detection of vibration / shock
- Monitoring of windows, plasterboard walls and glass doors
- Monitoring of machines (eg ATMs)
- Monitoring of cabinets and walls
Easy installation of Didactum vibration detector
The installation of the vibration sensor is very easy. Simply connect the sensor using the included 2 meter patch cable to the IP-based Didactum alarm system. The vibration sensor is supplied complete with mounting hardware (screws / mounting tape). If required, you can install the vibration sensor up to 145 meters from the Didactum base unit.
